if i'm going to run a high hp/high tq program on the ecm,do i need to upgrade my clutch when it's time to replace? should the clutch be rated higher than the tranny?

| I went with a 2050 ft/lb clutch when I had to replace mine. I think I'm going to be glad I did. I don't remember it being a lot more in price either over the 1850.

The price difference isn't enough between the standard clutches and a 2050 Ft/Lb clutch to not upgrade. I'd either use a Spicer 2050 Ft/Lb or a Lipe 2250 Ft/Lb with a mildly modified engine. The Lipe will have more pedal effort to disengage it over the Spicer.

who has the best price on LIPE clutches? i'm in nc,if that helps.

Lipe clutches are made by a company called Setco. If they don't have a dealer network in your area they will sell it directly to you. Talk with Micky Crouch at (731)642-2419, if I remember correctly the part number is LP108391-91
