Prob would be better, but trying to keep my cost down and i think pulling a 48 ft would be better not to mention weight would be less.

53's definitely suck but it is the industry standard. You will play hell trying to get a 48 loaded so dont tell them its a 48. I am goign to be buying new trailers and checking with customers over the next few months. If I can get away with it, when it is time to order, they will be 48 spread for sure...

it's more a produce thing though.

Really weird hardly ever could they fill my 53' trailer with anything frozen or refrigerated and when they did use most of the space seem they were just being lazy. Only time they filled it wall to wall front to back was clothing and similar #### one time. Guess some things have changed or they just don't wanna take the time to load it right instead they just roll it on there and blow bags to make up for all the dam space between pallets.

There are places that ship produce that won't load anything less than a 53 ft.

If it really has the fixed tandem instead of a slider, I sure wouldn't touch it.

Another thing with those roll up doors in the maintenance. The damn things are always having problems with the rollers, with the tracks, with the panels (you get the idea.)
