The were from a place called IPD, Industrial Parts Depot. It was quite a few years back, the piston is still hanging around my garage. It cracked above where the piston pin goes in and the fire went down the crack and blew the side of the piston out. I never had it on a dyno but my buddy had a brand new 2000 Pete with a 550 Cat, we used to run to Albuquerque together all the time. He could out pull me on Raton Pass but couldn't run away from me.
It was actually turned up a bunch and it seemed like every 6 months or so something happened to it, the guys in Denver where I used to buy my engine parts gave me a bottle of Jack Daniels one year for Christmas because I was such a steady customer. It was fun to drive that truck,

Wow I'm looking at clevite c3 Dual Ni kit I'mma get em coated hopefully it can stand 500 550hp
