I worked for Twt and probably still know some of the flatbed side owners. If you are new and going in training you will be getting your training on the right places for weather conditions. You will see those roads across I 90 alot and then the the route popularly used into Oregon. If you can keep up with those roads in the winter you will have no problems no matter where you go!! I have told others, you will find bad and good no matter what company you go to. Keep a positive attitude and your goals in sight. Negative thoughts bring negative happenings. When your new , there is so much to learn!! Even experinced drivers learn something new! As long as you do your best that's all that counts. If you feel you don't have enough experience they will give you time and keep you wih a trainer. Tell them!! Say I want some more experience I am not quite comfortable. They will not push you out for being honest!!

I beleive Denny Petersen retired , he used to do orientation! Bud who was in log department passed away. Don't know if John is still in logs, we called him Santa Claus!! Jeff Benish still basically runs the company , haven't heard differently. And Jim Williams the owner is still active and has an open door policy, for drivers. So did Jeff. I know the Twt reefer dispatchers I had are still there. And anytime you want to switch from flatbed to reefer if they have an opening you have first choice with foot in door!! Same goes with reefer to flatbed. The Tanks were separate and require a whole lot of specialized hazmat training! To get into that they usually hire people wih experience and qualifications and the job openings were scarce!!And even then they had to go thru more training !!:biggrin_25524::biggrin_25514:

And seeing your from pallyup, wa .:biggrin_25515::biggrin_25525:TWT OR systems side would have no problem getting you home for home time. Don't think Schneider will get you there. I know I chose to work holidays for Twt and got extra pay for that while others went home. I took my time after the Holiday. So there is incentive if you choose to work holidays!! I love these little creature cartoons!!

Thus far all I have heard is good about this company. Can anyone tell me where TWT does their orientation? I am looking to find a new adventure and am looking for something with orientation on the west side of the mountains in Washington State. Preferably one, which I have heard TWT is, that gets one home regularly.

TWT does orientation in Cheney, WA - a suburb on the west side of Spokane, WA. They are at I-90, exit 272 - where the new Petro now stands, their yard is kind of catty-cornered from the Petro and right behind the Super 8. They didn't put you up at the Super 8 though when I was there - too expensive I guess - but I lived practically right around the corner from the yard, though - but I believe it is still the Days Inn Downtown - nice place but in kind of a fleabag area - lots of transients...

So just to update on my status with TSI. I ended up gettin on with JJW at their Pacific yard. The hotel wasn't too bad and the orientation is only three days long. They don't have a whole lot for the JJW's side of the company but that's kinda what I was expecting. So far so good, i like my trainer and I like the job.

Would appreciate any information concerning TWT. Like cpm, benefits, rider program, orientation, apu's, and work environment. Looking to shed my local driving post, of 20 years, and move back to otr. Many changes apparently, since I left J.B.Hunt in april of 1990. Any informtion would be greatly appreciated, as TWT looks like a good place to start again.

well from what I got in orientation, theres no rider program, .30cpm, not alot of the trucks have apu's but a few do, health benefits are very very expensive and they suck, the companies very organized and treat their drivers good. I talked with a few of the guys on the twt side and they were happy. One of the guys I was with in orientation was actually coming back to twt cuz he couldn't find a company he was happy with after leaving them. The company on the systems and twt side are awesome, good about fixing problems with the truck right away. Since your experienced the pay might be more but i'm really considering going over to twt. I'm just getting a shady feeling about the JJW side of the company.
