yep, u still get breakdown pay at maverick. if u are under a load and have to lose that load due to breakdown, it qualifies u for breakdown pay

He told them on the road he had a check engine light on and his air conditioner was working about half the time and they set up a load to be delivered to the home base and then bring the truck in...so they worked it so they didn't have to pay I guess or it was never their policy any way I don't know. Thank you though for all your input and support on this. It is just rough times every where, thankfully we are out of MI and the auto industry...there was no money to be made there any more. I see that one of you trucks out of MI. We were in the Warren area, North of Detroit.
Have a good and safe week on the road, my husband should be back rolling down the road tomorrow...keep your fingers crossed but not when you are driving.

breakdowns like that one don't happen quite often, i drove for TWT for two years and sometimes i would be happy to have a similar breakdown cause otherwise they kept me really busy, they are good at keeping their trucks in a great shape.

TWT has done really good since then to keep him on the road. That was just really frustrating because it was an entire paycheck...yikes. In this economy where we are barely making it on what we make to not have a check at all can cause some serious problems.
I am thankful for TWT and especially his dispatcher who keeps the wheels rolling.

I see this is a older post, TWT is big enough to push shops and parts people into demanding whats going on. The bummer is they have newer trucks and that check engine light typically means the regeneration and particulate burners not working right and at the time this was posted the dealers would not even have the parts ready to install. I waited about 10 days last April for the parts to appear for a C13. Then install another day or so. Hope all is well now and your man is not working for a chicken #### outfit like TWT, worst health benefit plan for company of that size
