Orientation at Tyson???

Question for Tyson drivers ... Do you ever haul to the retail stores like Church's or Popeys? Seems like I've seen Tyson company trucks doing these store deliveries at various times in the past and that's not something I'd want any part of. Maybe they were some sort of "local" drivers running out of nearby cold-storage facilities???

Does Tyson do trailer washouts "in-house" at Plants or do drivers get them done at truck washes before dropping at the plants?

No tyson otr does not deliver to. Retail stores only distr. Centers ...tyson plant to tyson plant ..and very important customers like walmart distr. And and the company's like us foods large distr. Centers ...the only place I have gone to a small. Distr. Centers is in calif. Sometimes there is a 5 or 6 stops but you only go there if you want to best company I have worked for in a long time ....give them a shot ..feel free to ask any q? Trailor wash out very at all locatoin we have a accout at blue beacon and some plants wash them out them selfs wash your truck every 21 days and some plants have a drive thru it well depend ware your at easy stuff get it worked out but in general you have to wash out your trailor after unloading

I am a trainer @ Tyson, been here for 4 years now. In that time there has only been 1 load that I HAD to unload. They will pay you to unload if you choose but usually not as much as they pay the lumpers.

 

Hi guys/gal's I'm going to Tyson 12/19/11 for orientation. Any good advise?

 

I read here that Tyson was all automatics, but that they might get sticks again. Does anybody know if that's happened yet, or if it will? (Wilkesboro, NC in particular)

I'm not even in school yet, but Tyson is a place I'd like to work. But I can't even imagine driving an automatic. I suppose it wouldn't hurt anything, and would be easier, but something about an automatic truck grinds my gears.

i dunno. like i said, maybe it would be easier. but i have an automatic chrysler sebring and a manual triumph tr-6. which one do you think i'd rather drive?
