I don't see UPS buying Conway, slowing economy shrinking freight volumes. Better chance of UPS waiting for them to go out business just like DHL, then take over their business. I could be wrong though.

How hard is it to get a driving job with UPS? What do they start out at? What kind of Hometime do you get? I have 10+ years safe driving and have been a O/O over 6years have pulled pups and have Haz. Would like to run out of DFW area.

I spoke with a 13 year vet from UPS the other day. He did not have nice things to say about them at all. On the flip side, I have friends that work for them...think that UPS is the god of trucking. Go figure.
It only takes 3 weeks to get your hazmat and about 15 minutes to get doubles and tripples. It takes about 30 minutes to learn how to hook a set and about 10 minutes to learn how they handle and track going down the highway. Piece of cake. If cfi becomes upsf, good for them. Instead of driving down the road for less than minimum wage. They will be getting at least .55 cents for all miles. They will get cheaper benes and wont need to drive until they are 65. They will also get home to see there family alot more. It would be like hitting the lotto for them. After a while they will be complaining about room service and breaking a finger nail like the rest of them.
