I've read and heard several different answers to this question so am seeking a more accurate one.
The website says 2004 and newer....one driver told me that he lost two trucks when they hit 500,000.
My truck had 538,000 back in May when I got it. I am now at 586,000 and was told by a driver that I would "definitely" loose it at 600,000. I like my truck and would hate to loose it and then not get another Freightliner.
When do they retire trucks?

Depends who you're with.
I'm with Schneider, and the range is 500k to GKWk ("God Knows What Thousand"). Actually, they've got some with well over 800k that still run great, though I can't say for certain why they've kept these units this long.
Most everywhere I've worked has been in the 500,000 range in the past, but cost considerations may be extending that number out some. -
At Celadon they used to replace them shortly after 300,000 miles

Us keeps trucks till 550,000 to 600,00 if the trk hasn't had any major issues or frequent repairs then they keep them upwards to 700,000 (I asked the shop this question last week)

Great!!! I love my Freightliner Century, too, and it currently has 602K on it. No repairs since I got it in May except for replacing the front bumper and windshield.

like most said--depends on the company and wether they are leased or bought--i have driven some with over 1 million--true--they are seasoned ,but nothing really wrong with them--lots of life left yet
it al depends on the maintenance they recieved during service -
You don't just shoot them when they are worn out. -
