Hey flood, regarding using these items with an inverter in the truck... are there any company restrictions that we should ask about as we are talking with these recruiters? just curious. (trying to ask the right questions)

you can have up to a 1750w inverter (good luck finding one) they will install it for you and they realy don't care what you plug into it.

everything we have in our truck we had in a company truck.

if you have alot of things (like we do) YOU just have to not over load your inverter and the biger thing will make you idle more to charge the batt's
and some things you will need to run the truck to use like our old 1100w mirco.

we need to start the truck every 16-20 hr's, and run the truck when we use the mirco

    Hello Team,

Am heading to shippensburg Monday with my son for our orientation and then trainers. I've been reading the threads here for a while and am excited about joining the team. After training my son and I plan to drive as a team. This will be a new career for me but ya'll seem so friendly that I feel as if I know several of you already. We just finished school and we both got our class A's so we hope to be on the road with our respective trainers next weekend. Just please have patience with a new guy who doesn't know all the abbreviations or slang yet.

So, you guys know how negative I am:biggrin_25519:

We are asked to pick up a repower in Grand Island Nebraska. We head there from Denver and meet the solo guy who had picked up the Fedex load (flammable hazmat) in East Moline IL. He gets there and I pretrip his trailer and this is what I see.

He tells me he did not have time to fix it, I assume it had just happened and then he tells me I can run with it to Salt Lake City since he had picked it up this way and was fine for over 400 miles.
    I lost it......

What a jerk. Cost me two hours to get it fixed. I am also pissed at the jerk who had dropped this trailer at Fedex since all he had to do was make a call and put it out of service. Fun times.

Highwayman, be easy on your first student....LOL

tomegg, don't worry about the slang and other words.....most of us don't understnad them either, especially when used by the FM's....LOL

Craig, there is absolutely no reason for that tire!!...We picked up a trailer the other day and had 1 tire with smooth/missing parts all over it and 2 others that had some spots and we refused to even do a Mac 3 until they were fixed.....especially because it was an HVP load.

Well, Debbie and I have been running hard for the past couple of days....picked up a FedEx load and got it to the Lincoln terminal for a repower, then today we came all the way back to the southeast corner of WI for our delivery in the morning....Debbie finally got some decent hours in and now she is up to 132....hoping to get her into Tunnel Hill this weekend because her husband is getting there and she needs to get on the truck with him.

What fun we are having......got into Markham last night about 10pm.....now waiting on a rail load that comes in about 1500 but can't get dispatched on it until it's here.....then take it to Minooka.........after that we go to Alsip for a load going to Murfreesboro that delivers on Monday.......from there we should be going to Tunnel Hill for Debbie to upgrade...................she needs 14 more hours which she should use up on these two trips.....and we have 18 hrs left on our 70 with no hours to pickup until Monday night.

Meanwhile, the lights in the bunks wouldn't turn off so the mechanic had to come out and pull the light bulbs out.....my bunk control panel wouldn't turn any thing on......the front control panel won't turn the big dome light on.........so now the only lights we have are the two in the front.
