Well we are sitting in a mall parking lot in Hayward California. We ran 1650 miles since yesterday morning and we deliver at 7 AM tomorrow. There is not a truck stop within 30 miles of us but the security guard at the receiver let us drop the trailer inside their gated lot and we ran to In-N-Out Burger for dinner. Nummy. The road through Utah and Nevada was clear with sunshine the whole way. Donner Pass was clear and dry. Just sitting in the non-freezing bay area watching the Oscars. A pretty good recovery from sitting most of the week.

Beautiful picture, Craig. Truth be told, that's the way I like to see any snow......somewhere I'm not...LOL

My last day at home....truck has been cleaned and repacked with all but the last minute stuff and I still have a few errands to run...but then I get to just sit back and relax until morning. PTA is 0800....I won't be going to Irving because they can't do the PM until about 100 miles away. And I discovered that my GPS lost its hat so that may be the cause of some of my SATCOM problems.

Man I hate that place. After our delivery, we found a "truck stop" I only call it that because it says so on the front. Truck parking is along the road behind the Colosseum and they had nothing there. Anee sent a message to our FM saying "Get us to a truck stop....please" It was 57 miles to the nearest and he said "get there". So afte hanging out at the Flying J near Modesto for a couple of hours and getting our showers, we got a message to head to the Colton Terminal, there is no freight in Northern CA. We met a couple of other teams at our fuel stop on the Grapevine that got the same message and were heading to Colton also. We just got a pre-assign for a load to New Jersey and we are waiting on the load assignment.

just remember that when they tell you "go their" that they mt move you...! if not and your next load pu near ware you del you would not get paid for the 114 miles to the truckstop and back. the best way is to ALWAYS ask for routing. also that way they can't say you went joy riding out of route

our fm is awesome. When he sent us to the truck stop we received a route solution and when he sent us to colton we got a route solution. He also keeps us moving. We are very happy

That looks like an absolutely lovely truckstop....NOT

I'm sitting in a nice little truckstop just north of West Plains, MO about 10 minutes out from customer. Had to drive about 100 miles round trip to get my MT, then my wonderful FM says "They will be closed when you get there so just get there early in the morning. Then after your loaded and when we figure out what time you will get to Winchester, VA, we'll move out the deliver time." (it's going to a Home Depot DC).

As we crossed into East Saint Louis this morning on our way to NJ. Anne gets a call from Jonathan (Our FM) just as the computer dings. REPOWER! Take a left on I-55 and head 100 miles to Springfield MO to meet a team and switch loads for one going to Denver. When we got the load assignment in Colton, we just figured our home time would be delayed by at least a half a week. Nope, going to be home tomorrow morning. Anne said to Jonathan "I thought we were heading to New Jersey" and he said "Nope, you requested home time." He is a rock star. There is no way to overstate the importance of a great FM. We just passed through Hannibal and we are heading to the Lincoln Terminal for fuel and then across Nebraska and home for a few days. Because of the delay in training, Anne has not been home since we headed for Orientation on New Years Day. She is a bit happy.
