I had to think about this as it seems pretty personal but really I don't care. I had to copy to a word doc to redact my employee ID but here is the summary from my settlement sheet I received on this last Thursday for Friday's payroll. I do not exaggerate at all and have no reason to. We did not get our own truck until late February and we were broken down for at least four weeks this year. I expect to make over 60K this year. I have no idea why you could not make this kind of money at USX. There is no way I would do it for less.

I see the formatting did not hold so I put a space on each side of the GROSS column

Do I understand you correctly craig? You said we did not get our own truck? I thought you were a solo company driver making 50 grand a year? Thats what I called bull crap on. And deciphering that you posted is impossible let alone the fact that it could be changed. And flood I never said O/O couldnt make any money or teams for that matter.

Craig was trying to let on that as a company solo driver he was making 50 grand a year and I been with the company since 2005 and closest I ever came to 50 grand was about 30 thats why I called bull crap. So Craig if you are a lease driver, O/O, or a team yes I guess you can make that kind of money. I was stating that a solo company driver cant. And I am correct!

I am sure I don't need to stand of for Craig, but I am not sure he ever made it sound like he was a solo driver. I have even made point in my posts that he runs team. Team drivers get the miles, and making 50k a year would not be that hard to do.

Running solo and running team are 2 completely different things when working for USX. I have no opinion on O/O or L/O.

Craig I give you credit for posting out your pay stub info. I am not sure that most people would do that.

Exactly my experiences is/was limited so I get penalized by USX for doing something that I really knew very little about. Now how does USX handle this, do they call me to ask me anything about no they don't, but you go on with your "Expert Opinion" that I was wrong here.

The funny thing is, I have the prof that I was in the right here. I have the Original BOL with all of the info on it, and signed from the receiver.

I will stand and defend my self on this. I have integrity, and I am a very honest person. When someone walks on my I will stand my ground. If I am in the wrong then I will keep my mouth shut. I was raised and taught the difference between right and wrong.

As for my opinions on what I say here, I went thru lets say some very interesting things with the training department, and the trainers. I have seen how USX treats people, not only my self but others that I have talked to personally too.

One more thing here to note for Trainers that I do not want to be misunderstood. SheepDog was my last trainer. He is a stand up guy and I cannot thank him enough for what he did for me to help me finish out the 150 hours behind the wheel. I wish him and his wife the very best out there on the road.

    Respectfully,

    HD

I can tell you I didn't want him to at first but we want people to know you can make good money at USX. At least as a team. Craig has always said he was part of a team and I think some where there was a misunderstanding of that. At least anyone who is on this forum on a regular basis knows.
Everyone has different experiences and we luckily have had a great year with USX. I have no problem being their cheerleader and I also am vocal when things happen that aren't the best but from what I have seen and heard from drivers, USX is a great company for teams. I am not saying they are perfect in any way but they seem to be really open to hearing ideas from drivers and that is pretty cool. I wish everyone was lucky enough to have our experience.

I'll chime in on this, too. I've been with USX for almost 2 years now and, except for one bad FM, have had a wonderful time. I get good miles now, have an FM who is really easy to work with and makes me feel like part of a team. I can't see me going anywhere else to drive for a long time.

Guitar player..why would NCo Craig lie about what he makes? I asked a few questions about USX orientation and he gave me honest answers. He's always been very helpfull to drivers on this board. I myself graduated from AIT in late July. I had some personal issues to clear up after that. I have yet to get into a truck and train, though it's been over 6 months since I get my CDL, but eventually I will get going. (I might have to do a two week refresher course though).

But to get back to my main point, it's you who's seeming very trollfull in demanding to see proof of Craig's income.

And in closing, could it be your own deficiencies in your driving skills that limit you to what you say you earn?

I have to jump on the bandwagon on this one too. I met Craig b4 he and his wife even started trucking. My husband and I have been teaming for over two years now. We started with Watkins Shepard and worked for them for the first year and a half. LOVED the company and the people, didn't like the pay or the miles. We then ran LTL reefer with another Montana based company and hated it, but loved the pay, .53/ mile...just wasn't a good for for us, however I do miss our 13 speed Pete that ran at 70 mph. We now have been with USX for a month and couldn't be happier. The main reason we are here is because of Anne and Craig. We always kept in touch that first year and a half and they were always happy with the company. Our biggest complaint about this industry is the lack of respect these companies give their drivers. I can honestly say without a doubt that everything Anne and Craig told us has been 100% true about this company...and the last company we worked for did treat us like slaves. They told us in orientation that running reefer we would run east/west and that all has been the truth as well we haven't ran less than 6000 miles/ week since we started. My hats off to both Anne and Craig for always being so truthful and helpful to so many newbies in this industry.

Apparently you people cant read? I just said there was a misunderstanding I was under the impression he was trying to make out like a solo company driver could make 50 grand a year at US Xpress. All of the other stuff I said is true. Just like this little tidbit they fail to tell you new students going to go work for this company until your already at oreintation.

Did you know that yeah they have tuition reimbursement, but what they fail to tell you is that it costs you .02 cpm to participate in it. So that means if they hire you in at say .32cpm and you elect to take tuition reimbursement you will make .30cpm? Dont sound to bad does it? Lets do some math they pay $150.00 a month on your tuition and are taking .02 cpm to pay that thats 7500 miles. What if you are able to run more than 7500 miles in a month? Which you should really be able to do fairly easy lets say you average 2600 miles a week. 2600 miles a week x 4 weeks = 10400 miles a month. 10400 miles x .02 cpm = $208.00 - $150.00 = $58.00 They just took from you each month for taking their tuition reimbursement. Which they try to sell you as a perk that they give you to come work for them!

The point to this whole post was why US Xpress cant keep experienced drivers, its because of all the little ways you do alot of work for them for free! I will at some point when I have time make you non believers an itemized list of just how much money you do lose working at US Xpress. Look people I dont hate US Xpress Im not bashing this company, after all I did work for them off and on since 2005 I just left this christmas due to a job I been waiting for opening up. I am simply providing information on this company to drivers who are thinking about going to work for them. Is the goal of driving a truck not to make as much money as possible? I am showing ways you are not making as much money as possible with US Xpress. Like it or not folks I will not hide or stretch the truth in anyway everything I have posted on here is a cold hard fact!
