Hey Guys/Gals. Im here in SC and will complete CDL school Mid May. I'm looking to work for a great company that can keep me going thru the NW. Got a Teenage Daughter that would be nice to stop in on once in awhile. Even if only for an hour.

US Express looks good so far, anyone have some thing to say on this company?

    bluedee Thanks this.

Yeah, me and my BF are looking at USXpress too, and I have family on the east coast, in New England, and his family is here in California, so we are looknig for some home time on either coast, I am dying to see my kids again! I have heard that as long as you let them know where you wanna be, that they can try to get you time nearby. But I am wondering about this myself.

You won't get to the NW running solo. I only did it once as solo and I think it was because it was a hazmat load.

We take home time all over the country. Never had any problem getting anywhere we want to go.

Hello all i was thinking of flat bedding it but maybe changing my mind. I have 4 weeks left at school long 16 week program. But was thinking of USX one question though, do you have to run as a team or can you just go to orientation, then with a trainer, and then solo out. How long do you have to stay out with a trainer and what is the average time spent out before you can get some hometime? I appreciate yall's time and effort. Drive safe

120 hours btw with a trainer and then you are required to team with another new driver for eight weeks. You can then go solo if you wish.

Thank you NoCoCraig, dont mean to ask to many question but why do they require 8 weeks of teaming before you go solo. Is USX hopeing that you will stay as a Team or what?

Think about it, you are less likely to get home very much, and the truck has 2 drivers, USX makes more money form one Truck. Not to mention the High Turn over rate of drivers too.

I'm in Shelby, NC right now. I'm making runs for the Walmart DC. I'll be in and out of this area most of the weekend.

Send me a PM with your contact info.
