I've been offered SE regional until Family Dollar Duncan,OK opens up. I turned it down initially, but since it's a .05 cent raise, I may go for it. But I'm also curious about other regions and what the criteria are to run them? Is it based entirely on your home locale?

Regional is usually based on your location. I know most regional guys get home alot more often. I've heard some guys complain that they couldn't make any money on north east regional and some say they do great. So idk the true story. I'm guessing it is what you make it. Not sure what states they consider SE but I know NE goes all the way to North Carolina. Some guys like the regional stuff because of home time. I don't think there's any other criteria than having to live in that region. Should be able to jump right into it.

It may have been "bait & switch", since my only motive for moving to USX was Family Dollar. However, I do need to make a move from .33 to .38 or more and a home weekly gig is a big priority. USX is kind like "the devil I know", since my pay and benefits are through them as it is...

I called a and i was told that if i lived north of i-16 that i could get on with us xpress running east of i-35, they dont have a southeast regional they said so i agreed to run east of i-35, so the lady set it up for me to be in orientation on a monday (01/13/14), she says it takes 3 days but its all squeezed into 2 days, after 2 days in class and physicals and road test, we went to the hotel and check-in every night and check-out every morning totting our bags back and fourth every day, after tues. Wens. We were there at 8am and sat and waited on trucks all day till about 6pm when they started telling us that they had no trucks, so we got lucky cause they were puting us (and by us i mean 30+ drivers) in a hotel , then on thursday they started passing out trucks, after getting to the tunnel hill, ga. Terminal at 8am thursday i got a truck at 5pm, the lady at permits had already left for the day, so no permits for me, when i went to look at the truck and check it out real good i foound it had alot of body damage but the interior looked real clean and didnt stink, after that i go to speak with my fleet manager and that is when i found out that u.s xpress does not have the "everything east of i-35", my new FM told me that U.S.XPESS IS AN ALL 48 state company now, not a happy camper now!!! If you have a question just ask and ill answer it the best i can.....

The best way to stick around a specific area with USX is getting on a dedicated account. Home time is usually 4 days ONLY off a month unless you do Dollar General or whatever it is.

I think they have a Target dedicated that is in the SouthEast. I say that because we've seen guys pulling Target reefers in the South.

Yes, we run all 48 but solo drivers normally stay east of 35.
