Good news to report. Wife and I are part of Reefer division at USX. After our 2nd load we will have 5,000 miles. Let's hope it stays like that
Thanks Craig for hooking us up with Phyllis

What is up with US Xpress' health insurance ? $76 a week for the premium plan ! That's the highest I have ever seen at a company. My last employer only charged me $37 a week.
Does anyone else have issues with getting detention pay ? Since we're doing reefer......we wait sometimes for a very long time. US Xpress always has some excuse as to why they wont pay us for it. -
If you send in the Macro 14 and get the in an out times on the bill you shouldn't have any problem with detention pay. Is your FM putting it in?
TruckDuo Thanks this. -
Gonna have to talk to her about it.
Thanks Vin -
At the Colton terminal. We are supposed to be moving out mid October. I'll miss this place.
-
Yeah, so rare to have a terminal with all that grass. Loved the gas grills also
-
It's bare bones now. Not even coffee.
Apparently CR England bought the land and will be moving in once USX moves out. -
It has been for sale for a couple of years. They had a deal to swap terminals with Swift in Fontana but I guess it fell through. USX even posted pictures of the Swift terminal on their facebook page about a year ago.

They should have kept Colton. We love Farmer Brothers

Bad news everyone. US Xpress sent out a message to the reefer teams letting us know that they are scaling down their reefer division. They are asking for volunteers to move over to dry van. Planning on getting rid of some of the reefer trailers the message said.
We LOVE reefer division. Best thing that's happened to us. I'm just in shock that their scaling back. There has to be money to made in reefer for USX. Especially since it's mostly organic produce we pick up.
What are your thoughts ? I'm a rookie. Don't get why USX is happy being a dry van company while the rest of the industry is expanding into tanker, reefer, flat bed, etc
