I don't think so. I think it's similar to FedEx.
We hated doing UPS because of the wait & a lot of their terminals were tight.
58 CPM is attractive though.

US Xpress has 2 new dedicated accounts:
Target: Denton, TX
1. Open to mostly teams and couple of solo drivers
2. Reefer & dry van
3. 4,500 - 5,500 miles
Wal-Mart: New Carney, Tx
1. Home weekly, long enough to do a restart
2. Solo drivers
3. Reefer & dry van -
I was told by the guy at the shop in Markham that if a FedEx or Procter & Gamble load is late then US Xpress pays them a fine of $25,000. Anyone know if it's true ?

I Had to rescue a P&G load that I was told would cost us 5k for late Del. Don't know about the 25k figure though.
TruckDuo Thanks this. -
That's what I thought. No way could it be 25k. Thank you.

Does a team need to work for USxpress for a certain amount of time before they can apply for a dedicated account? How often do dedicated accounts become available?
USxpress is advertising a dedicated run from our home town Knoxville to New Orleans. Hubby doesn't like the thoughts of it because of New Orleans being a mean town, and he hates the "boring" drive from Knoxville to there. But I'm thinking it would be better to hire onto a dedicated account, if possible, rather than hire on to OTR. I told hubby that we could carry protection with us in New Orleans and try to get a different dedicated run when one comes open.
We are looking at different options, looking for a different company to drive for. We are not making very good money as a team where we are at. The miles just aren't there like we hoped they would be. And we are only making .31cpm. USxpress would be a big pay raise for us.Last edited: Jun 16, 2014

Jungle Drums, take it from someone from Chicago...a city with dozens of people getting shot a night. You have nothing to worry about as long as you don't go looking for trouble.
jungledrums Thanks this.
