Make sure your trainer lets training know to route you back to a terminal after 110 hours. Otherwise, your going to do 150+ hours of training. USX is slow to route people back to a terminal to do an upgrade.

 

USX drivers ... how long do you usually wait for a load? A total of 4 hours drive time in the past 2 days. When would you make a fuss?

 

I'm usually set up for the next load before I deliver the last one. I keep my PTA updated constantly and remind them I need a load if I don't have one.

 

That's not good Saunders. Talk with your FM. If things don't improve....look into a dedicated account. Those will keep you busy.

 

I'm in a situation where I'm stuck doing pretty crappy short runs while waiting for a partner, but even then, I've always been preassigned before or very soon after sending in my empty call. That's if you don't count the half hour dispatch takes to send my trip info after putting in my empty call sometimes, lol.

 

Sorry, I just got assigned a partner a few hours ago, lol.

 

Slowly hit 120!!! Not bad but really slow. Trainer wants to stay below the 40 and doesn't want to do bad weather.

I'm starting to come around to looking more at US Xpress, with granting pay for ex military the same as their two year driving vets. Not impressed with their starting of 42 cents split with 11 cents bonus per driver for their rookies? can you say ex military start at base pay for starters?
