Tunnel Hill has the largest orientation class. You might be able to find a partner there if you don't here.

Just out of curiosity, why do you want to drive team with a stranger? I have never driven team but I think it would be extremely difficult to do it with my girlfriend or brother, let alone a total stranger. You realize that you will be living with them for 23.5 hrs per day for weeks at a time in a space the size of a small closet? Also, it's illegal to ride the top bunk while the truck is moving, so you will be essentially sharing a bed with them too. Gross to say the least. You might as well share each others underwear too. I can't imagine anything pleasurable or positive about that scenario. Just run solo and run hard.

Carry an oversized sleeping bag & a pillow, so when you're not sleeping it can be rolled up and put away.

Teaming owner ops make cash but It's not much more money when your company drivers teaming. I had to team with my trainer for 4weeks and 3days not the worst position I ever been in but I don't wanna do it again. I was thinking of teaming with my homeboy but I thought again..I love my own truck and I hate sleeping going down 7percent grades and curves while I sleep with 80000lbs in someone else hands. The choice is yours that's just my input and opinion buddy

Wife and I team. We love it !
Teams get better loads and a lot of them are drop and hook. Teams at USX get the newer trucks. We mainly stop at a truck stop to fuel and shower. Love that I don't have to find a place to park for the night.
Solo drivers are the ones that do more live unloads. They also do more of the challenging docks.
If your partner is a bad driver then ask for a new one. I think it's smart to team when you first start because if you get into a jam then you have someone to help you get out of it. A lot of things can go wrong your first year, the most important thing is to keep your record clean.
We fuel up 2-3 times a day. The points at Pilot add up quickly. We've bought with our points $400 worth of stuff for FREE. We're saving our points now for the cube thing that works with satellite tv.blairandgretchen and Skydivedavec Thank this. -
