Should my husband L/P with US Xpress

You should do your own research, but I would go with the 09 freightliner.

On the REAL WORLD l/p truck make about the same as company drivers until it's paid for.

Company driver= you go where and when they want you to
L/P= don't want to you don't

Company driver = idle when the truck let's you
L/P= idle when you feel like it you'r paying for the fuel.

Company driver = you breakdown they fix it. they pay for your motel. you get breakdown pay (yes not much)
L/P =YOU PAY, YOU PAY, and no breakdown pay.

company driver= you go home and you make no money.
L/P = you go home and you make no money BUT you owe them your weekly fixed so when you leave home it can take time to make 2 weeks fixed back (2 weeks=1 week off and the week you come back).. and remember they get paid before you do..

Company driver = drive as fast as the company has the truck set at (65) get fuel where they tell you too. Who cares they pay for it
L/P = drive as fast as you want too (70 for l/p trucks)who cares your the one that is paying for the fuel... get fuel when and where you want to because YOUR the one that is paying for it..

If you do drive as fast as you want. and you don't shop the fuel network you will WASTE HUNDUNDREDS OF DOLLERS A WEEK that could be in your check..

I've tracked the fuel mileage on this trick for the last 720,000 miles I know what it is at 60, 63, 65, 68 & 70 mph. If someone saids they get better at 68-70 they are LIEING or don't know how to track it. I know my 7 day, 30 day, 60 day, 90 day, 180 day,1 year & 6 year avg.....I also know how much fuel I use every hr to run the A/C in the summer and how much to run the heat in the winter (not the same) btw my truck WILL DO 90 on flat ground and I drive 63 because I'm the one that pays for the fuel and the repairs....

My truck has 1,232,166 on it right now on the original engine transmission and rear ends. The only work that has ever been done on the engine was injector cups for the first time six months ago
