I'd say the first 3 "big things" you want are a 1500 watt invertor, a microwave (low wattage, not an 1100) and a 12volt cooler. You can get those 3 things for right around 300 bucks. The cooler, if nothing else, will save you money from buying cold drinks on the road constantly, and of course you can keep food in it too. I don't use my microwave to eat as much as I should, but I'm still glad I have it. When you drive solo, sometimes you get stuck taking your breaks in rest area's or other places with no food services, not to mention emergency situations. After that, I'd really suggest a laptop. Many new drivers ignore the fact that this job has plenty of downtime. You're going to have plenty of downtime, and if you have nothing to fill that time with, you're just gonna be sitting around bored. Smart drivers utilize that time, lol. A noise canceling headset for you phone is invaluable too. I get tired of the radio after a few hours. It's nice to keep up with friends and family, and it also allows you to make important calls, to your company especially, without pulling over each time.

Satellite radio
APU
Laptop
Nintendo 3DS
Fridge w/ freezer (separate door, not a piddly compartment that doesn't stay cold)
Electric skillet
Crock pot
Lunch box oven (available at truck stops for $20)
32" tv mounted on the wall
Playstation 4
DVD & game collection
Google Nexus tablet
Goose down bedding
Will be turning the top bunk into a food pantry/storage space (not hard, a bit of wood, hammer & nails)
... and I'm running team. Neither of us sleep in the top bunk anyway, we'll hit up a hotel if we're stopped long enough to need it.
My truck is a wee bit on the heavy side, but I don't care. It's my home, and it will be comfortable.Wild Murphy Thanks this. -
I have a TV, inverter, microwave, fridge with freezer, coffee maker, crock pot, toaster, toaster oven. The top bunk is the kitchen....lol. Also have a laptop. All my music is on memory sticks that plug into the radio.
