Received class action letter today. Letter stated that USX did not comply with fair credit reporting act in the manner in which it obtained and/or relied upon or used the consumer reports of certain job applicants. It is for people who applied between July 8th 2009 and October 27th 2011.

Does this mean I can sue them for hiring me? Need to teach them a lesson for that one.

Or a coupon for .50 cents off at McDonalds.

If the payout from USX is less than the lawyer fees, then you owe money to the law firm.

Had one of those from CRST awhile back. The payout was in the tens of dollars.

Only the lawyers win class action suits. A total scam

You're joking, right? Class action suits are contingency based, so if they don't win, no one gets paid. Of course the lawyers are the only ones who really make any money because of the size of most of these frivolous lawsuits.
