Hubby doesn't like to sit still, especially while here at home. He has to always be up and doing something. Looks like I'm gonna have to tie him down!!! Lol :smt079

you an instructor at tunnel hill? -
Well, hubby is doing good at staying off of his foot, keeping it elevated with ice.
Our recruiter emailed us some information about orientation in Tunnel Hill. I will list it here for any of you that are curious and like to know things ahead of time (like I do)...hope this helps.
Orientation will take place over three days. We will be staying at Baymont Inn in Dalton, Ga. It has continental breakfast, and shuttle service 24/7. It says if you are a single driver, you will be rooming with another driver. Here's a picture of the motel.

You must be in hotel lobby at 6:30am on first day class, so you can be shuttled over to orientation.
Paper says that every candidate will take a road test, drug test, DOT physical and a physical standards test. It doesn't go into detail what each test entails.
It also mentions the pet policy - $50/week deducted from paycheck until you have paid $500 total non-refundable and $10 pet fee each week. Pet polices will not be authorized for aggressive breed dogs.
STUDENTS please be ready to go with your trainer following orientation.
Things to Bring and Remember:
1. Class A CDL
2. Social Security Card
3. Medical Release
4. Employment Verifications (they have to verify every job you have held for the last 3 years)
5. Other DOT required IDs (permanent resident card, alien reg., employment auth issued by Dept. Homeland Security)
6. Personal Items: 1-2 wks of clothing, bedding, personal hygiene items, bath towels, and alarm clock. Greyhound allows 1 carry-on (25lbs. or less) and 1 checked bag (50lbs or less) all other bags are at your expense.
7. The company provides a Greyhound bus ticket to orientation. If you decide to drive, you will be reimbursed up to the price of a Greyhound bus ticket approximately 3 weeks after you are hired. Keep fuel receipts and turn them in at orientation.
8. Money for personal use. Cash for breakfast and dinner for the 3 days of orientation and emergencies.
9. Direct Depost, void check for direct deposit.
Good luck to us all!Wild Murphy Thanks this. -
