Dash cams, like elogs, are going to become the norm in the industry. If you have a problem with your company being able to see what you're doing while using their equipment to do a job they're paying you to do, then perhaps a different industry would be a better fit for you.

Just smear a slimy booger on the camera lens. Problem solved

Dash cams will become the norm if drivers accept it. Companies want drivers to be out weeks at a time, privacy in the sleeper is not too much to ask.
dennisroc and BigBluePeter Thank this. -
The dash cam isn't in the sleeper. If you want privacy, pull the curtain. That's what its there for.

Johan, if you enjoy having a dashcam facing you that is your choice. I choose to work for a company that doesnt have them. That is my choice.
TruckDuo and poppapump1332 Thank this. -
A company that wants to insist on inward facing dash cams is a company that wants to go out of business OR pay through the nose for drivers. It wont become the norm too many liability issues.
semi retired semi driver and TruckDuo Thank this. -
If drivers put up with crap like that the companies will just keep piling it on. If you swallow and say more please that is exactly what you will get.
