Thank You. I hope to be a long term fixture there. I know there will be some getting settled-in issues, just as with any carrier. But, being from Rock Island, IL they offered me a dedicated account out of Markham, IL and I won't have to run irregular...never knowing where I'll be (like I did with Star Transport in Morton, IL). on this account I'll rarely be more than a days drive from Home should something arise as a problem with My elderly Parents.
Any advice you may have for a driver starting out with US Xpress is welcomed and appreciated.
Again, Thank You.

Just curious on that 22¢/mile bonus for team OTR driving at USX:
1. Anybody have a feel for how achievable it is? Are people that are going for it able to easily get the 18,000 miles/month if they want them?
2. Do they make any allowances for qualifying for the bonus if something occurred to make you come up short on the 18,000 mile goal? For example, if you got sidelined for a significant amount of time due to weather or breakdown?
3. Is the hazmat endorsement required to be eligible for the 22¢/mile bonus?
Thanks! -
The only thing I can speak to on you question is Yah its doable here but youre going to work for it. As a trainer though I can pull in around 16k miles a month without it being too hard on me and Im not a true team. For a regular team to average 4500 a week it shouldn't be too bad. The runs are there if you are willing to do them.

1. It's doable but you'll work for it.
2. No allowances
3. You'll need hazmat because some customers require you to have it. FedEx for example requires it. 90% of the time they don't have hazmat on their loads. Having it makes you available for better loads.Hornswoggled Thanks this.
