USX Orientation: Tunnel Hill GA or Jacksonville FL?

    I'll be going to USX orientation in a few weeks. I was given the option of doing it in Jacksonville or Tunnel Hill. I have the impression the Jacksonville facility just started up recently for doing USX orientations. Even though Jacksonville is closer to home, I'm leaning toward going to Tunnel Hill. Seems to be the bigger, more established facility that is closer to the nerve center of the company. Probably have more options and opportunities for training, teaming, and equipment there too.

    Am I right about this? Anybody have anything else to add? Am I missing anything?

    The Jacksonville terminal used to be an Arnold terminal. It is much smaller and it will probably be more informal. The Tunnel Hill terminal is a lot larger and more modern and the orientation will be more formal. I would do the Jacksonville terminal if I lived in Florida simply because itll be a shorter ride home if something goes wrong.

    The reasons you stated would lead me to the newer,end of the line terminal which is almost always more personal,driver friendly facility than the "nerve center" where higher ups browse around.

    Do you have any idea what the orientation class sizes are at Tunnel Hill and Jacksonville? And availability of trainers . . . is that about the same?

    Jax will have orientation class of around 20 people. Tunnel Hill could be as many as 100. As far as trainer availability that is handled differently and if they need to send you 1000 miles to match you up with a trainer they will, enjoy the grey dog.

    Tunnel Hill is a dump. Sad but true. We avoid that place. Go with the Florida terminal.
