I am new but my hubs and i have already run both OTR and Dedicated... dedicated is much preferred simply for the ability to be able to plan your trips properly and not worry about service failures because you don't know the roads and pickup/delivery conditions for each load. Also you have less sit and wait to load/unload on dedicated. With OTR it's commonplace to sit for several hours at each end to load and or unload... if you want miles and driving instead of opportunities for naps in your 14... then go dedicated... just my .02
