I'm just curious if I will be running manual, or automatics, as well what brands, models, ect I may encounter for over the road driving. I start training at C1 on the 18th and then USA has offered me a contract so I would like to familiarize myself with the potential equipment I may encounter..... Plus... I just really love trucks and want an excuse to go check out some trucks at my dad's work, assuming they have the same models.
What sort of trucks does USA drive?

You will see
Automatic International Prostar
Automatic International 9400i (being phased out)
Manual International 9400i (being phased out)
Automatic Peterbilt 386
Automatic Peterbilt 387 (very few out there)
Automatic Freightliner Cascadia (trucks came out right before manual ones)
Manual Freightliner Cascadia (newest trucks that have been ordered/put on the road)
I think that is all of the trucks USA has. Most likely if you would start with USA you would see the Prostar or maybe a freightliner.Electric_Hyena and applebrown78 Thank this. -

Why so many automatics? Is that the way all of the company's are going?

There are a few Prostar's that have 10 speeds manual transmissions, as well as some Kenworth manuals. -
