    THE QUESTION?:
As anyone who works, or follows, this site or company news, USA Truck has recently gone through changes in the management structure, logistics, and in the overall operations of the company.

What do you see as the benefits to working for USA, and what do you see as the downfalls in 2012?

    * A lot of posts on here are negative, degrading, and/or disrepectful to either certian drivers, managers, or "the company" itself. Please refrain for talking about other drivers on this post and lets take out all the venting, backstabbing, and arrogant big headed attitudes here and talk factual! Just a suggestion...

Think you are annoyed now, just wait!!

Why oh why does EVERY newb think their background matters!! We don't care, companies don't care, your not impressing anyone:biggrin_25526:

Maybe because that's how the money is made, not getting crap equipment repaired ALL THE TIME or having to constantly get your FM to just do his job, nothing extra, just do their job!!

Once again, we could have done without all that useless "old job description stuff" but I hate to tell you, your joke of a FM will always be trying to get you to work more "efficently".

Man if I had a $1 everytime someone said that!! Reality is you get to travel, where they tell you to, what route to take, and the load dictates when to "travel". Freedom, um yea, as long as it is o.k. with them and then be sure to do it there way!!
A lower level of resposibility?? You are resposibile for alot more then you think while on the road, whereas at your old job when your shift is up that's it, but not in trucking. While driving you are responsibile for everything and everyone around you, also it's up to you to make sure equipment is "safe", and when you park your responsibile for that load!!

How would you know how a "little" situation is in trucking?? Just wait until you have one and try to get it resolved while people behind the desk could care less and don't mind letting you know they could care less!! There's a reason alot of trucking companies have over a 100% turnover rate even though I agree some people are not happy no matter what!

I hate to say it but I agree with most of what losttrucker had to say.

And to the "little problems". A bunch of little things add up to big things.

    RigMaster and losttrucker Thank this.

Losttrucker, thanks for your honest response, I really do appreciate it. But I must defend my posting in that I am not trying to impress anyone, I could care less, i do what I do for me, not you, I was just trying to communicate my experience as everyone else does daily on here to help people understand that there are problems EVERYWHERE. I figured by doing that I could actually get useful info on here that would help me understand this industry and how to survive in it. Just trying to make a buck like everyone else, could care less if you like me, or my posts, but what is the "Truckers Report" blog for if people can't ask more experienced drivers questions and advice??? Which BTW, I'm not seeing the answer in your post of my original question... maybe my computer screen just isn't showing it.

What do you see as the benefits to working for USA, and what do you see as the downfalls in 2012?

I realize my post seemed like it was directed to you personally, but it wasn't, it was more of less for all new guys who have never been in the industry basicly telling others to quit crying and complaining, when the OP usually has no clue what really goes on once your hired.

The only advice I can offer to anyone starting out is keep your nose clean at all costs!! No tickets, no accidents/incidents, and no abandoning equipment or mis-use of company equipment. If you can do that you will be able to land ANY job you desire after your 6months to 1 year!

I admit the whole "your not impressing anyone" comment was out of line, it's just this forum is FILLED with lawyers, pilots, CEO'S and every other wild and exotic job imaginable!:biggrin_2559: It just gets old reading it.

Just please don't stop posting your experiences, that way it will help the next guy who will be in your shoes!!:biggrin_25514:

you have alot to learn.......rigmaster, you'll see.

I worked USIT, had good success there. Make no mistake about it, 80k of rollin thunder is a huge responsibility and all your previous lifes work pales in comparison.

But you won't understand it till your doing it, its still the honeymoon phase........best advice to
you is "tread lightly". Your comments show your inexperience.

NOPE! Your right on target. If these folks that go to C1 and then on to BFI companies had it so great, why switch to basically a minimum wage job?? Limited options, thats why. I'm not knockin it, I did it too! But lets be straight about it!

Well, I can tell you one thing right now. Your view of what the trucking industry is, is what every newbie has when they first come in. I hope I get u as a trainee, cuz sir, with an attitude like u have, it will not last long on my truck.

I have had hard cases before and that attitude did not last very long. I just wonder where u were a reserve officer at???? I was a reserve deputy in indiana for 10 yrs before coming out here.

And ur gonna be saying to urself, I do not have an attitude. Just look at ur nick on here, RIGMASTER??????????? What a joke. Think this is like pulling a trailer with a pickup or something? You have never pulled a load for anyone and your the master of ur rig? Guess some reserve officer in ft wayne will be explaining to some family that he didnt know why a ROOKIE truckdriver just didnt see the teenage daughter on his right side whem he ran her off the road.

Please, drop ur attitude before you come out here, or u will be another statistic, or cause another statistic.

And in final, it is a persons right to say what they want, when they want. If u dont like it, dont read it.
