Worked for usa truck up until *** of 2012 and theres a big secret, all of there Cascadia's will go faster while driving all u have to do is turn the key to the off position for 1 second then back to the on position it shuts off the governer for around 4 seconds long enough to go past the set mph of 62.Doing it constantly will get u up to 80+ mph easy. Also u wont lose steering control.Have fun n be safe drivers.

If I worked for them I'd sure be at a loss of words explaining why/how, when they were tracking me, I managed to get the truck going 80 mph on a straightaway. Especially knowing full well that they set the governor at 62 and that is the company policy. Not to mention the SPEED LIMIT.

I suppose Ralph Cramden said it best: "Hummina hummina hummina..."

Anyway, it's good you topped your post off with "Be safe".

    CenutryClass and GAlanFink Thank this.

They once gave me a un governed truck back in 2008 and they said they only found out because with there system after like3 mins of going over 62mph it sends safety a msg.Usa dont really test there equipment they just hope it works the way it suppose to.Thats like back a few years ago we use to put boby pins in the computer port n have it idle all day and it would actually throw the qual com off so u can lie n say u were somewhere u really wasnt.Wit the pin they system wouldnt update lol miss them days.

Wonder how you'll explain that 75 mph ticket with a 62 mph governed truck to your company?

Wouldn't be the first ticket someone received going that fast in a USA Truck lol. Gotta remember they can get pulled over down a hill just like anyone else. Also, not ALL trucks are governed at 62 mph. Some are 63 and some are pretty close to 64 mph. Paced one truck a few weeks ago and he was going almost 65 on a straight away then I got tired of it and passed him :).

Just wondering.... does USA use some kind of special/different governing system besides the computer in their Cascadia's? I mean isn't the governor/speed set in the computer? I'm just sayin' that your post was about "USA" Cascadia's. Just wondering if that's the case with all Cascadia's...???
And, if its that way on the Cascadia's, I'm wondering about the other Freightliner's like Columbia's etc?

Anyway, I think I would be a little apprehensive about driving down the road at that speed turning the key/engine on & off... more especially off.

I drive a 2013 Cascadia which not only tracks my speed and seat belt useage but the OnGuard (which conveniently hit the raising head of a wounded but not quite dead deer on 29N in North Carolina), now randomly brakes if a car happens to be nearby (or not... it's a mood thing), reports a code violation if I'm slowing down while approaching an exit with no-one nearby (or not... depends on the gremlin operating it) and occasionally goes Code Red and shuts down my cruise control on a whim (or not... get my drift?). The Lane Sensor turns itself on and decides I'm crossing the line whether or not there is even a line to be crossed. Amazing technology, this truck has (NOT).

One thing I'm NOT going to do is mess with something that's already broken and getting written up every time I drive the thing.

I actually look forward to the 'Code Red' situation as it returns manual control of the vehicle to the hands and mind of the operator. The ONLY thing I've found that I like on this OnGuard contraption is that it does provide a nice following distance automatically... oh, that is of course, until some four-wheeler 'fills the gap' and causes OnGuard to slam on my brakes again.

I WANT MY OLD TRUCK BACK.
