Every company that ive talked to so far has said that phone verification is not enough. They want w-2 verification or proof on dac report.

USA accepted you with no verfiable experience? If thats the case take it and run with it. They are currently at like 12% unoccupied truck rate right now and financially in the dump but it is experience that you will need to go on with your career.

Yes USA I know for a fact will take verbal verification if they call your former employer.

    I thought I heard it all...:biggrin_25524:

USA never busted my hump, just won't pay, except coffee, taxis, ice, nice lounge chairs in Van Buren, (they must of bought a truckload from Walmart -I just bought the same one).

Oh and I forgot to mention that the average truck gross (for the ones that are on the road) is like $2500-$2600 a week so you can imagine the amount of miles that you will get. Seems quite low to me! :biggrin_1square4:

Not true, sorry. Although they will be calling my previous employer, they are checking my "psp" for inspection reports, and I am to bring my.log books to orientation with me. I just spoke to recruiter. There is someone else there running all the checks on me. I was also told by redruiter that they have already run my criminal background and came back with only my 2002 felony. I knew she did the background with that because she had details of it like where, that she disnt know from me. My mvr is completely clean for.the.last 6 years. They only go back three years on employment and 5 on mvr. At any rate she says I have passed my background check. Now, is this like what y'all are saying and Ill have a.more.detailed background check at orientation? Recruiter says no, the background check her and her associate did is it. So not sure if Im getting mixed information and from where.... I just dont want to end up sitting in Van Buren, stranded 8 hours from home!

If thats the only thing in your background you should be good to go. If they find something you didnt tell them about you may end up sitting in Van Buren waiting for a ride. I dont know how much further they can dig. A check of your convictions should disclose everything on you.

LOL. Im not sure they can buy much right now driver. Much less a load from walmart. I have read about their financial crisis and they were lucky to get another lender to get keep them operating. Although they did put up all there equipment so they could secure the financing.

I heard those were lazyboys that came from a damaged load a few years ago. USA Truck bought the load. They had the same lazyboys in the drivers lounge at Spartanburg too.

These questions should have been asked to your recruiter and they should've been asked well in advance of you accepting a date to go to orientation. You're about a week too late on this info.

I still don't get this mindset. I didn't leave my last employer until I absolutely had no doubt in my mind that everything was OK for me to move on and that my previous employer would rehire me whenever I left. That's key in this industry, "Will your previous company rehire you?"

If you get sent home, you've got no one to blame but yourself.
