Yeah when I started at TTR (about same time I started USA) you were one of the regular posters on here. Along with Bubbavirus, Klatu, Green Machine, Good Choice, Exrayman, and a few others. Its good to see you trolling again lol!

As to your points, I think the whole mentality of dispatch has changed. My FM actually calls me if I've been at a customer longer than about 1.5-2 hours of my appt and asks whether or not I'm empty yet and how long I think it will take. She got a little buggy one day about it so I asked what the deal was. She said the Group Mgrs actually are monitoring idle drivers and put pressure on the FM's to get them moving. I used to occasionally enjoy sleeping in once in awhile when I knew I had a window but even now I'm afraid to because I've gotten calls from her asking why I'm not up and moving yet. Even when I had plenty of time cushion. I think the whole ethic is changing up there in operations. Not going to say this is the best large carrier out there but I think they are moving in at least the right direction finally.

That's great. That was my biggest gripe was way to much idle time, and a 34 hour restart every weekend, because nights and weekends wouldn't let me drop a load at a terminal and keep rolling. Every other company I know of does it this way. But it does sound like they're doing better. Maybe they finally took a look at how many drivers they're running off because of FMs. It isn't much different the way things work at other companies though. That's why you see so many either return to a past job, or they just quit altogether. I just got lucky and landed a dedicated route here. That and have the coolest FMs a person could ask for.

I stayed & learned with One company 2 years. BUDDY that's Gold. Most drivers don't have that. Trucking people you want to drive for see that before almost anything. Your on the way up.

well USA just went out the window since im not in there hiring area.
in Arizona Btw never saw the HIRING AREA on there website nor did it state so when i filled out the app. It should have stopped me when i put in the state IMO
I figured they did hire out of this area since they had a yard down here last year

So far...... The free fuel is really nice??????????? LOL

I did ask for an emergency repair today and from the initial phone call to pulling in the garage had only 55 minutes elapse.

I have had a handful of mishaps in my short tenure but USA has always stepped up and and got me in a safe location quickly, adjusted to accommodate me in short time, or rapidly righted any legitimate wrong. I have worked for two Fortune 200 companies and never received the quality help given me by USA. That is 100% truth there.
