You could have pulled one of my famous moves and just showed up at the final early and unannounced. I took a crap 300 mi load of roll stock to Jessup, MD and unloaded it myself. Got screwed with it on a Friday and it didnt deliver until Monday. I picked it up and ran it straight through but they were closed for the weekend. I found a maintenance man in the building and he let me in the facility and allowed me to use a clamp truck to unload it. I just gave him a line of BS that it was urgent that we get it unloaded do to some safety concerns with the trailer. I ended up getting a 1700 mile load afterwards.

The maintenance guy sign for it?

Lol ill have to remember that.

But glad I didn't. The directions I got from mac7 were way off. I don't know where they got them but I'm just glad a cop wasn't around at 5:50am. Sent me down a no truck road and no sign visible until after a curve and no way to turn off the road or back out. Glad the power lines were high enough and no bridges. I think it was because the road was so narrow. I was pi s s ed. But I got it there with no incidents. Then sent a lovely msg to dispatch about it and a mac 24 to have it deleted and/or corrected. And yes I tried to call. Answering service answered and said no one would be there for the phones until 8am monday.

    Sent from somewhere out there

that's awesome DCstrong71,way to be a go getter, hopefully the customer doesn't pull a famous move like so many do in this industry and say the product was damaged or something by you unloading it yourself without their knowledge or fire the maintenance guy for signing your bills which he probably wasn't authorized or qualified to do and make us eat the money on that load and not pay us for it, don't think it doesn't happen on a daily basis here cause it does, keep up the great work though

Gotta be careful on the "no truck" roads. They charge for every pound that you are over the posted weight limit and they figure you at being 80,000 lbs. I have never gotten a ticket but I have heard of driver getting $5000 + fines.

You sound like a politician running for a position in dispatch or something. You will probably get the Mr. USA award this year. But, having previously worked in the service industry I can entirely understand where you are coming from and thats why I put a note on the BOL stating that the materials where received in good order or something to that effect. Can't remember exactly what I noted but I'm sure it sufficed since I haven't heard anything about it.

I just noticed something odd about you. You have been a member since Jun 2007 but have only been thanked 94 times. I have been a member since Fed 2013 and have been thanked 76 times. Must be your ######## replies.

How do you get ######## reply out of the several compliments I gave you??? As far as being thanked I could care less about how many times I have been thanked or anyone else on here has been thanked.Thats the sad thing about texting and typing on a computer you have no idea what the tone of my voice is when I type, just easier for you too assume I am a ########.I complimented you on being a go getter and told you to keep up the good work and you have a issue with that really? here is my number Deleted feel free to call me anytime and then judge whether im a ######## or a politicking to be a dispatcher until then quit assuming things about me that you do not know
