Oh I know that. Lol. Got pulled for a lvl3 in Mississippi last week when I csme iff s weight restricted road. I wasn't worried as I was empty and knew ehere I was. I grew up in the midsouth and know the roads well. The MS state trooper was actually very nice. And we b.s. for awhile on the dide of the I55 on ramp. He was shocked to see my elog. He commented ge didn't knie USA had them. Told him I was a crash test dummy for the system. He laughed and asked who I made mad. Lol.
As for the road in KY I was on in town. I did not see a weight limit. Just the sign with a truck in a circle with a slash thru it. And if I'd have gotten a ticket all he ll would hsve broke loose at hq as it was there directions i was following and no one could figure out how to contact pepsi for directions. I would have backed out but no wsy to. No signs on road until after I rounded a right hand curve. No way I was trying to back out. I'm still not 100% sure it wss a sign for my road or tge side street I was passing. Pole it was mounted to look twisted and sign was ####ed. But still made me nervous. I csll it luck and know another way in if I go back.

Its good to see another usa driver not too unhappy with the company. I hope my experience is just as good. Oh and ill only complaine to myself and Ill pay my dues. My first goal is 100k without an accedent or misshap. Im learning alot from all of you here Thank You.
J_FROG, kiwi23 and Thomas0810 Thank this. -
Glad it worked out for you. I went in another direction.
I left USA, was prepared to go back to taxi & limousine work, got a call back from a HHG outfit (moving company) turns out they have a logistics division, been working solid ever since.
We can't seem to keep A-drivers though. We have a LOT more fingerprinting loads than most drivers expect. Some people seem to be under the impression that once you get your "A" you never have to leave the cab again except for signing bol's. Plus my knowledge of NYC gets me more work since I'm willing to run anything up in there while other drivers reject it.
Sometimes I miss the drop & hook at USA, as well as getting west of the Mississippi more often, but my equipment's better, I get hourly inside of 150mi and I'm home at least a few nights a week.
I'd still recommended USA as a starter outfit for newbs,,,, but after a year, I wouldn't mind poaching you guys for our outfit. -
USA Truck has a problem right now. Their detention pay is no longer 2 hours but 4 hours, which means you have to sit for 5 hours before you can get detention pay. That is twice the industry standard. Even if you do qualify for detention, if your miles are above 2500 then you will not get detention pay because you reached the average 2500-3000 miles that they promised for the week. Guys be careful when you seek employment with USA.

The detention pay policy has always been to pay after 4 hours but they were just flexible on it until now. They have also never willingly paid for any thing other than miles without first receiving a complaint or argument.

Im given a pension and a 401k and low cost (possibly free depending on yearly physical) health insurance that is way better than what I had at usa (which isnt bad insurance). I lucked out and found a company that takes care of their employees completely not just mostly.Leftnut Thanks this.
