I am thinking about going with USA Truck when I am done with CDL school. I live in Clemmons and will already have my cdl when I go to orientation. Do you know what the starting pay is for newbies? And I have been reading on here that there isn't an agility test at orientation? Is that accurate? They are the only ones I have read that don't do one. Thanks for the info!

There may not be an agility test during orientation but... if you can't climb up in the top bunk, climb up into the trailer, sweep out the trailer, crank the trailer up and down as required, crawl under the trailer to inspect, pull the tandem handles as necessaary and get out of the truck and walk the distance to the rest room to take a crap you won't be here long. At least not if I'm your trainer. These are all simple things that should be done, but many drivers refuse to do because the might break a sweat.
Those are the same drivers leaving messed up trailers for others to fix or sweep out. And that is unacceptable in my book.

I have not been asked to do one. USA does not request it. But concentra is notorious for asking and USA does use them but not exclusively. In the Memphis area they use concentra and another clinic in west memphis (cant remember the name) I asked about the sleep apnea stuff since I know its not a DOT requirement. Thats when the girl in safety told me not to use concentra as the were getting bad about it. Then she said concentra was sending the drivers to a certain sleep study center. Guess who owns it? Yup concentra. Seems like a conflict of intrest to me.

Same here. Went to a quack doc who told me I had to have a sleep apnea done. I pointed out to him that they were not required for sleep apnea and further more would not be taking one as the clinic he wanted me to go to was owned by him. I went to a concentra in Springfield, MO and the doc there told me no way would she require a sleep apnea to be done.
