    Whats really being done differently? I am very curious. This is significant change compared to last year. Suspicious change! John Simone might be a good CEO but no one is that good. I could see if it was a gradual improvement over several years but YOY?

    Maybe not focusing on short and medium haul (yes we still do them but Ive seen many more runs over 600 the past several.months and yes it could still be better). We don't have a number cruncher as the ceo anymore. Better focus on the small things to save money. Etc..

    or it could be creative finances. If it is we will all find out in a few.months when the house of cards collapses

    I just wonder because while revenue has increased its not an exponential increase. Fuel prices have dipped a little but not drastic.

    Imo, the difference is the attitude towards the drivers has improved drastically leaving. Fewer empty trucks. The short hauls all the time have disappeared. Look at the report it shows the avgmiles per truck has increased. Expenses have been decreased, things like the shananigans the happened at WM cost thousands of dollars.
    The equipment is being better taken care of. Even using outside sources to enable that helps the profits.

    This place is 50 times better than it was when I first started here.

    Fuel prices have stabilized, but the bigger factor there is our fuel economy has increased a lot.
