Have worked for USA TRUCK in the past, was there for about 6.5 years, trained for them for 6 years, but was forced to leave when the economy went bad, and the drivers were struggling to get 1800 miles per week, which was a little under 2.5 years ago. I understand that there is a new CEO, and I was wanting to know from the drivers that have been there for at least a couple of years, if things are getting better? What kind of miles are drivers getting? Have they started taking better care of the equipment. I understand that the company is switching over to E-Logs, the company that I just left had the E-logs, so that's no big deal. What's the average length of haul now? Any info will be greatly appreciated.

11 years of experience and you are considering rotting in one of their crappy Freightliners for thirty-some cents per mile.

Why waste your time? USA is not going to be in business much longer.
All that screwing their drivers and not taking care of their customers is
finally catching up with them. Why did they treat the drivers the way
they did in the first place? I guess they figured that well was never
going to run dry.Looks like it is..

Ok guys, I get it. You don't care for USA Truck, what companies do you recommend for me to look into? I live in SC, don't have a problem being out 4 to 6 weeks at a time, as long as I stay moving. Not interested in doing flatbed, I do have 2 years of reefer experience, the other 9 has been dry van. Any recommendations would be appreciated, as I'm looking for a company that I can stay with.

Give Zenith Freight Lines a call. I don't know how their pay is but I will never forget seeing one of their KWs doing over 80 coming out of El Paso one night. It caught my eye and then I started noticing their trucks, they are always hauling arse. They are in Conover, NC.

My logic is: if they put service over gas savings they probably have a higher profit margin than the bottom feeders, which means they probably pay better and have a lower turnover. Just worth looking into.

    Here's one....

Funny, you post this, yet you mention Walmart in #8. This is fine where it is, thank you very much.
