Ok so today, the 11th of Dec. Myself and another 12' wide load are traveling north on US69 in Wagoner, Ok.
We both have escorts. The other load had 2 and I just one..
All of a sudden we hear the rear escort saying look out for the trk. passing in the Left turn lane.
Yep. Sure enough here comes USA truck 3773 flying up the left turn lane trying to pass us. He then starts to move over and almost takes the hood off the rear trk.
He then swerves back into the left turn lane and is passing me..
Yes we were splitting the lanes due to the fact we had no shoulder and we were traveling at the speed limit in town..

My buddy did call safety on him. You hire some quality help there USA....

    Mudguppy and MJ1657 Thank this.

I'm not going to defend the USA driver, he was clearly in the wrong. But:

I have seen many OS/OD drivers not abiding by the terms of their permits. I'm not sure about OK, but I do know that some states limit OS/OD loads to 10mph under the posted speed limit, and they also require the OS/OD load driver to pull to the side and stop when traveling on two lane roads and a specified amount of traffic has gathered behind them.

Did your permits have any provisions similar to those? I'd look up Oklahoma's requirements, but since you have direct experience, you'd have more timely information than I could find.

Where would they pull over in Wagoner? And who would expect them to? At the speed limit it might take 5 minutes to get through that town and then it's 4 lane with a shoulder.

I run 69 a fair amount and those jack wads with their 60mph trucks speed through every town. Crete, USA, etc etc. I'm surprised there aren't more crashes in towns on that road.

No speed restrictions in Oklahoma, no pull over rule, USA truck no brains.

Windsmith, it's 4 lane through town. We were not impeding traffic.

He was just in a bigger hurry than everybody else.
Plus like I stated we were doing the speed limit...

Last time I saw a usa driver he was pulling his hair out and basically having a breakdown at the fuel desk. He had 6 scale tickets in his hand and was still overweight. How does one mess up so bad?
