    no one pays a lump sum. they aren't that stupid.

    you have to stay working for anyone that offers a bonus. as them bonuses are paid out installments. if you leave, you don't get the rest if the bonus.

    Exactly. Its a bonus to sign on with them, obviously paid out in increments over time. No company will pay lump sum up front so you can bail tomorrow. And then they pay you low cpm, I'm assuming.
