The miles have been #### & the pay check shows :X This is his 3rd week driving and I woke up to no $$ dd :X Last week was $10.36 and the week before was another $0. Add $160 to each week because he uses his comdata card. Last weeks pay check he only drove 1162 for todays paycheck I have no idea I'll find out in a few when I go to drop him off at his truck cause this is complete BS and his very first week when he got his truck it was in the shop for a good part of the week and for next weeks pay depending on what load they give him today I think he's just at about 1400. Like I said in my previous post the company has good been good to us because we went through some obstacles family wise and they were really accomodating but the pay is bs. I think after the holidays we are just going to start applying # different companies like crazy and see what happens because at this rate there is no way in hell we are going to be able to stick it out another 6 months to a year :X

JenLaw84 sorry to hear about your troubles, especially so close to Christmas. I hope it picks up for you guys. I have been looking at different options as well steering away from DS.
I know that a lot of companies hiring, requiring a minimum of 6 months experience. I don't know if that helps. Hang in there.. -
Its gonna be rough at least the first year. .26 a mile is #### compared to what alot of drivers are making. We just gotta pay our dues and get that year in. Hopefully not go bankrupt in the process.

Four years ago this February I quit the Van Buren clan, I still see the big shots in their usa golf shirts, and I see a lotta intermodal (or used to).
Laredo, TX was great, b-o-y-s-t-o-w-n. -
wherever u go to work be sure to get paid for empy/loaded miles. i know some companies that only pay 22-27% on loaded miles. the dead head miles is what wears u out though.

well, headed to springfield, mo on sunday to begin C1 truck driver training. Any last words of advice?
Thinking of going to get my permit before i go, is that a good idea? -
Good Luck KCtruckin! Hubby had to have his permit before he started school but he didn't do C1 and not sure if it works the same way in your state but go for everything at once he made the mistake of going taking the tests for his permit for all endorsements except hazmat because he didn't feel he was ready and we had to pay twice :X
What company are you going for?? I'm starting to regret big time saying anything nice about USA they were great in the beginning about accomodating us now they aren't paying him for unloading a couple of tire loads, not reimbursing any of his weight scales except one and there have been at least 20, plus they took out $$ for the motel when the truck was in the shop in the very beginning. So IDK whats going on but every single penny counts here :X -
Hey jenlaw. Sorry to hear things have been so rough with usa. I have a pre hire with usa and start training tomorrow morning. Hope things go a little more smooth for me.

Jenlaw, has there been any changes in the past few weeks? Planning on attending C1 in Ft Wayne in a couple weeks for USA. Just would like to get as much info as possible before making any decisions. I have an arrangement with Prime, Inc. in Springfield to start training there as well, but really didn't want to go that far. Since I live two hours away from Ft. Wayne, I could go home on the weekends to spend time with the family. That's why I was looking in to USA/PAM. But if I am planning on going OTR, myself and family will need to get used to me being gone for awhile.
