Had my first breakdown experience. I tried to hook to the trailer, and my fifth wheel would not latch. When I called the first time, they sent me to the TA in Knoxville (63 miles away.) The TA wouldn't work on it, so I called again and they said to try the Petro. The Petro is willing to look at it, though they aren't sure if they could fix it or not. So I'm now waiting.

The Petro claimed they fixed the fifth wheel, so I went back to Newport and tried again to hook to the trailer. No go. So I sent in a message advising a repower for the load, and got permission to go to the shop in Morristown, TN. That time, a "real" mechanic actually fixed the problem. He also fixed the side box door that I opened a couple days ago and couldn't shut.

So I was ready to go yesterday afternoon. At first, they had no freight available for the day, and they planned me on a load that would be coming in to the White Pine yard today. But then just a few minutes later, they had a driver unable to do a load, and asked me to handle it instead.

I picked up an empty on the White Pine yard, then up to Morristown to do a drop and hook. From there to Greeneville for a live load to fill the trailer up. The load has 2 deliveries, in NY and NJ on Monday. Pd miles- 851.

I don't see their trucks that much but I'm glad to hear they try to keep you rolling.

I finished my second delivery by 1100, and got a preplan that picked up this afternoon (appt was 1530, but I got loaded a little early) and delivers tomorrow evening in Lavonia, GA. Pd miles 715.

I see your trucks quite a bit during my travels. I've spoken to a few of your drivers and actually had a decent conversation with some. They seemed happy there and had good things to say about the company. Good luck with them. I'll be following your posts. Be safe.

Arrived a little early for my delivery in Lavonia last night. The QC showed my appt as 2030. Turned out to be false. There's nobody there to receive until after 2100. The guard said to just park off to the side and wait. They had me empty at 2300 and kicked me off the property. I was fortunate to find a Hardees with truck parking so I didn't have to sneak too far:biggrin_25525:

I am now planned on a load picking up in Oakwood late this afternoon with 3 deliveries tomorrow morning in Charlotte, Gastonia, and Winston-Salem. I got layover pay again without asking. Pd miles 380.

My 3 deliveries on Thursday earned me $50 for tailgating the load. Then I once again got layover pay. Picked up Friday in Raeford, NC and dropped today in Carlisle, PA (pd miles- 589.) I'm now on the yard hooked to a T-called load which delivers in NY on Monday (pd miles- 201.) My miles are dropping off a little. Which doesn't bother me in the least, but it's something for prospective drivers to be aware of. I have heard from multiple sources that Glen Moore can be a little low on miles.

After delivering the shorty load on Monday morning, I was sent up to Florence, VT to live load some raw materials going to Chicago. (pd miles- 1081) I delivered that on Wednesday, then down to Woodburn, IN for a drop and hook, preloaded trailer of tires which I will drop this morning in Laurens, SC (pd miles- 764.) I could have delivered yesterday, but I was lazy and didn't. After dropping this trailer, I go up to Maudlin to load going to Indy tomorrow (pd miles- 532.)

I've been here for 3 weeks, and my average miles/week is 2370.

After delivering in Indy on Saturday, I had Sunday off. On Monday, I went up to Hoopeston, IL to live load going to York, PA which I dropped Tuesday night (pd miles- 758.) I spent that night on the yard in Carlisle. Wednesday, I picked up in Lebanon, PA. This will deliver early Monday morning in Harrison, OH. (pd miles- 549.) I'm already planned on my next load, Cincy to Ft Worth (pd miles- 973.)

    Happy Thanksgiving, all!
