You just bought a plug and play hid kit? Does your low beam/hid still turn off when you switch to high beam?

Yes, they also have no prob lighting back on when I switch back or if I blink them for second to let driver ahead know to switch lanes. They are awesome, no complains at all

Even the best quality hid ballast take 3-5 seconds to fully ignite the bulb. Alot of volvo dealers won't install hid because it's a safety concern, the longer your on high beam tge cooler your hid will be and the longer you will be blind while switching back to low.

If you only are on hugh beam for a few seconds your hid bulbs will still be warm enough that it won't take long when switching back.

The system I have uses shutters for high low ,not separate bulbs .They do not 're-light'

The shutter one is what I have as well. I ordered it from hhrvlighting.com and have been running it for a week now. It changes the projector with a bi xenon one and you no longer use the high beam bulb as the bixenon is high and low beam.

Me being the lighting nerd that I am of course upped it and added a relay harness and put piaa led 9005 high beams in as well...... I can see for a half mile, blows the socks off the trucklite led I bought.... glad I returned those things and saved 1000 bucks.

hey i got the 55w hid kit.. Im having a problem though.. Was wondering if you had any idea what is wrong.. When i get everything hooked up the bulb comes on for about a second and turns off.. Does this everytime i turn the lights on. i also get the code on the speedometer that says that my light bulb is out. Any help would be appreciated.

If you turn them on and off a couple times will it eventually stay on? What brand of hid kit or where did you get it from?

no they will turn on for a second and then turn off right after each time i turn the headlights on.. I know the computers and bulbs are fine cuz if i put them in a regular car they will work fine.. They are the promax HID 55w. got them from ebay since i got another set for my car and they are really bright.
