Plug and played, I been runningthem for about 2 weeks now and I love them. Like someone else stated it takes about one to two minutes for them to get to full strength. I also ordered 2 sets of extra bulbs and I kept the orginal bulbs just in case I need them

I hope you are not planning to use your hid in the bottom driving lights. They will blind the xxxx out of others.

FYI: I've installed the 23mill candle power projector, by my door, like the 5-0 only bigger and better. Any idiot that drives with the lights not adjusted or uses fog/driving lights when the surcumstances are not calling for them, like driving at night, gets a
Taste of their own medicine and than some.

Check the integrity of your lights, if they are flimsy then they will not withstand the temperature that will be generated by the hid. Also, the outside cover, if not glass, might melt - if close enough.

to use HID in fog lamps is illegal. Look at the fog lamp pattern and imagine the glare!

You still must go to Volvo and get the parameters for the low bem change so both HID lights to work, otherwise only one light will work, the other one will not light, and you will have an error message in the display on the dash that you have a short in on of the lights,#
Had to go to Volvo and get the parameters change, $250.00

Look for better light bulbs for the fog lights.

Wiring harness,$75, eliminates the need of the steelership. Like I've said, quality and eBay do not go together, when it comes tO the hid, IMO .

Factory installed HID lamps are powered with low beam wires, but not from LCM, but with two relays. Bulb failure monitoring is disabled for low beam with LCM programming and low beam is must be programmed as on when hi beam is on (HID ballasts do not love restarting, becouse they need some delay to warm bulb up).

So the diagram of European HID installation. US version got no color marking of wires.

So you are still telling me the dealer still has to reprogram the low beam, to get the HID's to work.

The Volvo dealer I bring my truck get service now and then know this, That's why they are charging me $250.00 to change the parameters for low beam.

Far as I know there is no plug and play solution.:biggrin_25510:
