Just to let everyone know, I did install the HID light kit, that someone listed on this site, what an big diffents theses lights make, you don't even need to turn on the fog lights to see in the dark any more, highly recommended up grade.

Yes, I did have to get the promoters change for the low beams, Not all Volvos need to have it done. Go ahead and install the kit and see if both lights would light. If only one light works then you will need the promoters change for the low beam.

    BigBadBill Thanks this.

My Husband and I drive a 2007 Volvo 780. I mainly drive the night shift and was horrified with the performance I got form the traditional Halogen headlights. I started noticing the pretty lights on the Audi's, BMW, ext... I asked a Volvo mechanic and he gave me the info I needed, High Intensity Discharge (HID). Many ... many hours later on the internet and sifting threw sites that looked shady and hard to navigate, I found one I was going to order from,
    HID XENON LIGHTS .com
I had a great experience with this site and customer service and I continually order products for other vehicles. It was easiest to shop by size of bulb (mine was H11).

FYI: Watt in HID wattage is different than Halogen wattage, thus making this upgrade a 'conversion' (with ballast & wires)

    IMPORTANT:
I recently found at HID XENON LIGHTS .com that under the 5202 HID Bulbs tab (to the left) clicking on that and scrolling down shows a 50watt conversion kit, click on that and it will offer MULTIPLE BULB SIZES including the H11. I do not know the performance of this kit ... yet =) I might take the one have right now and put that on my brights or drive lights and try it on headlights.
HID excels the performance of the Projection Lens on my Volvo. Amazing! I first ordered the 6000k (kalvin temperature) it was too blue, reordered the 4300k and it's just right. Adjustment of the headlights are a bit tricky, not to be adj. to high thus blinding driver in mirror when passing ... It drives a driver buggers, just like flashing brights to say 'come on over' don't do it, it's not nice ;)

I encourage you to do your research and ASK QUESTIONS! Any website you do business with is a risk and to know their 'restocking fees' , 'shipping rates' and policies are very important!
