Random skid

My 2000 volvo 770 has been randomly locking up (wheels on both axles) when bobtailing, mainly when powering up but also pulling up on uneven inlcline. Truck is shifting up and down just fine and generally operating well. Power divider has always worked well and seems to still. I've been driving 20 years and never run across this. Before I tear apart the rear end, any advice?

i had a faulty sensor and it was causing the rear axle to lock on me
