air ride height

FIXED ..... Tech at the height valve company told me my valve had a supply check valve in it. So for my truck if the bags are deflating the leak has to be somewhere between the supply port of the valve and the bags. New Air Bags fixed my leak. The guys in rochester gave me a great price on them. 2 hrs to install them and a new fitting.

The noise and vibration was so bad that he was ready to put the truck in the shop, thinking he might need a new trans, which meant turning down a great paying load. He took the info you provided, we pulled over, he figured the height, did the adjustment, and its FIXED!! Can't thank you enough!

 

Its really funny you can go to twenty dealers and shops with that question and they all have a different way. If you want the absolute correct way you must ask the dealer to let you read the manual. You will be surprised that none of the previous answers will match that method. You will also be surprised how simple it really is. I don't remember the exact formula but it starts with measuring from the center of the wheel hub to the ground. Then there is just a little math. 5 min max.

This post mat just be a life saver!!!
The noise is exactlt like the sound you get when you drive with deflated bags. My heart dropped tginking OMG i need a new transmission. But it doesnt make the noise when i go to neutral or when i go back in gear for that matter.
I do have a slow air leak. And my cab leans to tge right when i shut down.
Not out the woods yet. But from the sounds of this post. It just might be the right diagnosis

 

If your cab leans to the right or left it's because your front cab bushings are worn out and they need to be replaced.

I'm going to buy one for a spare because the ends are made out of rubber and with the heat and time the rubber cracks and the part fails, and it will fail when you're out in the middle of nowhere too.
