I have an Volvo 2007 VNL 780, The carpet is in getting wet right behind the driver seat, and right where the carpet meets the rubber mat and that metal trim the links the together, right in the middle of the drivers and passenger seats, at first I thought the refrigerator was leaking but doesn't seem to be the problem is turned off. I was just wondering where is the water coming from, I was told it from one of the windows on the drivers side in the upper bunk, dose any one have this problem, #looks like it Happens after a heavy rain but it doesn't show up until two or three days later.

you may have a saturated pad under the entire bunk area carpet, have you tried pulling it up to see how far back it is wet? Is the condensate line from the bunk AC plugged?

It only seems to be in this one area I did check the driver side utility door and removing inside insulation and see if water was coming down inside the frame, the frame was dry and I could not see any leaks coming to that area in question.#

Where do I start to look for the AC condensation line for the back bunk, I'm kind of new to this truck so any help appreciated.

Hardlyervr, I thing you are right, I had the APU running for about 2 hours before the guy came and wash the truck.

So how do I get to lines for the condensate unit to see if they are plugged, do I have buy new one's or just blow air through them. Like I said be for am new to the Volvo unit.

I took a look at the base of the condensate unit on the left side bunk, it looks like floor was getting wet. Where do I fine these hoses for the condensate unit.

    Any help will be appreciated.:biggrin_2555:

It will depend on how it was installed, but on mine the condensate falls on the top of the passenger side fuel tank. You are going to have to get under the truck and look up to see it. Maybe something simple like dirt or a wasp's nest in the line itself and unplugging it may allow the water to flow out. If it isn't something simple like that, then you may have to lift or pull out the unit, and that would be a major project.

I went under the truck and look for condensate return hoses, they look like a duck bill opening. On one side is open, the another is closed, to keep foreign objects out, it also looks like it was not letting the water escape either. The one for the bunk unit, look like it was welded shut ( age ), #I #put a plastic tube inside that rubber duck thing ( both of them ) to just to keep it open to see if the water will drain, #I hope this will fix the problem for the mean time.

I had two problems like this. the first was the sky window on the top of the cab. the seal was broken. it's just rtv out of the tube but it was cracked enough to leak just after the truck wash. it would pour down the drivers or pass door just in front of the door down onto the mirror and lock control pad on the door. the other was from the apu. the two rubber tubes used to drain the evaporator on the bottom of the cab close a little too tight and keep the water in the evaporator drain pan in the cab. the first problem was fixed by reasealing the window, and the second i have to get out in the morning before i move the truck and take a broom handle and wack the rubber tubes to get the water to drain.

Can the condensate drain pipe be blown out (up) from under the cab? I don't want to damage anything. My truck was sitting for about 2 months in the country and I'm thinking mine might be plugged up as well because I'm leaking water into the cab.
