Ihave same problem looks like it's common for the Volvo. The water is condensate from bunk AC unit. In my truck entire AC unit covered with dew and water not getting out. Never experienced this problem in AZ, UT or NM but only in states with high humidity or rainy days. Do not know yet how to fix poor Volvo design.

To minimize water getting under carpet always turn off bunk AC while driving.
