I have a passenger side mirror on my Volvo 780 2007 that wiggles, I was just wondering how to take apart the outer shell and if there's any screws to tighten up. I did not want to take apart, and find out that it was a waste of time. Has anyone had this problem, is there any fix for the mirror itseft. Any help would be appreciated.

I used to cut pieces of tarp strap and wedge them between the outer shell and the glass.

We talking about the remote control mirrors, Imagine the mirror sits on some kind of an base, so it can be move up and down and from side to side. Can the base be tighten, I do not want to add any thing between the mirror and the frame.

call volvo. I had the same problem and the last time it was at volvo they fixed it. Whatever the mirror is mounted to is the problem. It wasn't a lot of money. I'll look for the receipt to get you the part description and exact cost.... -

You can remove the glass panel by moving the mirror all the way to the right, you'll see two screws that hold the mirror to the control bracket.

almost all volvo mirrors do that. I just put a piece of cardboard in it. Problem solved for free.
