Older volvos?

in pre version-ii volvos ISX w/o EGR and VGT was available.

 

+1. My buddy recently sold his 03 Volvo 660 with pre EGR Cummins 475 with 500k miles on the clock, in a very good working condition for 16k USD.

 

Some of the earlier Volvos had front end problems, especially with the weight of the bigger engines.

If you have a good local independent shop I don't think you will have any troubles with engine service for the non Volvo engines.

 

version '98 had VECU with D12C engine and ISX 15 engine, but no VECU with N14, becouse Celect + got no governing with J1939, so it worked with gas pedal and c/c connected directly to EECU
