its called a hollow screw, its located on the intake manifold and holds a return line to a distribution block. part number 3095479 and 2 gaskets 11996 it overflow valve.JPG will cost you about $50.00. sorry picture wont upload. but its just behind the alternator, on the intake manifold the bolt end is 7/8 inch.

image.jpg We'll, I've replaced both egr valves, the exhaust manifold, turbo, had the overhead run, replaced both fuel filters water separator and secondary, spent hours in volvo, trying to find out why I was getting 5.5 MPG, and nothing. Had the cylinders balanced, replaced sensors, have 100 psi on my fuel pump, and still nothing, after spending hours climbing over everything I can read about the fuel system, since my boost pressure is most of the time 30 psi or above pulling a long hill but turbo outlet temperature had fallen to below 600 deg, I found a mention about the overflow valve and that it controlled the fuel pressure on the last injector maintains 50 psi there, if it leaked the injectors would not get proper fuel supply. I changed it.

Hi there, I kind a have the same problem. :And I was wondering did you ever find out what was wrong with your truck. This is what I experience with my truck lately 2006 Volvo Ved 12:

The mechanics I left my truck with can't find it but keep replacing different things. When I'm driving on the highway and its running just fine all of a sudden
loses power and i can floor the gas but it can barely get to 50 m/ph and after a little bit all of a sudden it just springs into action and runs back normally..doing 70 without flooring it.
so far they change the injector 4, because this what they saw on the truck computer. but nothing I took the truck for road test today, it did the same thing. So what they are saying is they'll be looking for something else and at the end they my gonna have to replace the all 6 injectors.

when truck looses power does the speed drops to 0 on the dash??

Sometimes vehicle speed sensors located on transmission can cause behavior like this .. but you should see it right away on dash
    with speed dropping to 0..

when its faulty speed sensor , most trucks have programmed engine protection mode that wouldnt let rev the engine over some RPMs usually its 1200 rpm
