Turn up my 07 D16D

    Anyone know of a dependable shop that can turn up the speed on my 07 780 d16d? I prefer someone who is not afraid to talk to me about the systems and what can be done. I was sent to a guy in Atlanta but they work bankers hours and I'm never there when they are open. I run Florida to Ohio and back. Thanks for any suggestions

    Yea thats tru but I'v found most dealer techs to be unreliable and cost a fortune, not to mention the time involved. I'd rather use an independent who gives a S@#$ about his customers.

    There is a fixed fee charge for adjusting ECM parameters as far as i know. That includes any truck and engine manufacturer. Cummins for ex. charges me $86 plus tax to adjust anything i want.

    Volvo dealer will not turn up your engine power only ond only if your tranny will be able to handle the torque and power.
    I have a d16 with 550 hp 1850 torque and RTLO 18918B tranny.
    Volvo does NOT want to upgrade the power on my engine to 625 HP and 2250 torque because the tranny.
    If anyone can help me to get 625 HP ... please pm me.

    Haha. I have a 2014 vnl 730 xe16 500 horse 2050 torque. I asked when I bought it if they could bump it to 600 horsepower as I haul 140k, volvo came back and said no they didn't offer it with those 3:21 gears the xe has.

    They now do so I asked my volvo dealer hiw much to up rate my engine, they asked volvo and came back with $6500!!!!!!!! I email vtna and told em unless the head engineer needs to be emergency flown out by fighter jet to build me a custom program that turns this Volvo into Optimus prime then there is no reason for that price. Waiting on a response, what a crock.... I have the driveline to handle it and bought every warranty they sell. I am so mad.

    On another not to the o.p. I had my speed changed at my volvo dealer for .5 labour.
